Iovsoft Video to MP3 Converter is an audio ripper for Windows. The application can be used to open video files and rip or extract their audio tracks and save them to one of the supported formats. From what I could gather, this application can open AVI and FLV files, but wasn't accepting MP4 files. Not all MP4 files are the same though, so you might have better luck. This tool can save audio files in the following formats: AAC, MP3, OGG, RA, WAV, and WMA.
Iovsoft Video to MP3 Converter can also get music from DVD disks. The trial version allows you to test this feature by letting you convert three minutes of audio from a DVD movie.
In terms of design, I notice there are a few things that should not be there. For example, there is a drop-down menu that reads "Subtitles". Obviously, this was meant for a DVD to video ripper, not an audio ripper. This probably means that this application was simply re-purposed for the task of audio ripping and somebody forgot to streamline it.
In my testing, I didn't have any problems converting FLV and AVI files to any of the supported output formats. The quality was preserved quite well, too.
